Forth Valley GIS have provided Scottish Borders Council with consultancy to inform the development of their Corporate Address Gazetteer.

Renfrewshire Council have chosen to use the Forth Valley GIS developed RoadNet solution for creation and maintenance of their BS7666 compliant National Street Gazetteer database (Software, consultancy, training and support).

Forth Valley GIS are working with Perth & Kinross Council providing a range of consultancy and other services in support of corporate and departmental GIS development. Perth & Kinross Council are able to draw on the extensive Forth Valley GIS resources to assist the management of their GIS projects. Examples of the resources FVGIS provide are:

• A range of technical & strategic consultancy
• Project Management
• Data Management
• Desktop and Web GIS development (procurement, installation and bespoke development as required)
• GIS bureau services
• GIS support and training

In late 2001 Fife Council approached Forth Valley GIS to conduct a Council-wide GIS business requirements analysis. This Consultancy provided Fife with an assessment of their GIS needs and options along with recommendations for corporate GIS development. The report is currently being used to inform the strategy for corporate GIS development.

Forth Valley GIS are providing consultancy services to support development of East Renfrewshire’s Corporate Address Gazetteer.

During the first half of 2004, Forth Valley GIS delivered two consultancy projects for the Council. In the first one, staff were consulted at all levels throughout the council to prepare a Corporate GIS Strategy and Implementation Plan. In the second, address management business processes were reviewed and required changes detailed to support implementation of the Council’s Corporate Address Gazetteer.

Since 2001 Forth Valley GIS have been working under a service agreement to provide a wide range of GIS services to East Dunbartonshire Council. The services include:

• Project Management
• Data Management
• Desktop and Web GIS development (procurement, installation and bespoke development as required)
• GIS bureau services
• GIS support and training
• Spatial Database Development

We have also recently delivered the FVGIS ‘RoadNet’ solution for creation and maintenance of a BS7666 compliant National Street Gazetteer database (Software, consultancy, training and support)

We started working with Dundee City Council at the beginning of 2003 to provide Consultancy, training and support for the implementation of ArcGIS within the Council.

Bespoke development of an ArcGIS based application to help prioritise the inspection of potentially Contaminated Land. This application incorporates the DREAM model developed by the Council to help meet their obligations under Part IIA of the Environment Protection Act 1990.
